Summer outing
On a very hot Monday, 17th July, a group of members and a smattering of husbands took a coach trip to Doddington Hall, near Lincoln. After coffee and cakes, by special arrangement we were greeted by two guides, Alex and Vic, who gave us a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the house giving us much interesting information about the house and the families owing it since construction in 1600 as well as little snippets of gossip that added to the enjoyment. After lunch we were free to explore the kitchen garden and extensive lands.
